Brags and Wags
What are the highlights of your seasons so far?  Adler of the High Country will be fifteen in March and put in a solid performance for three hours in the grouse woods on Friday.  He pointed two grouse solidly that provided no good (read easy) shots for me abd one pointed woodcock that he held forever and that I hit so lightly that he pointed it when it was found.  I grabbed at it and it flew out of my hands and Adler caught it. Don't leave the old ones home.

Re: Brags and Wags
daicey of iamonia pointed a kitchen  sink and retrieved a woodcock from a tree--all in a day's work. she also found several birds that i  knew i didn't hit , at least that's what i thought . we carried a digital camera along on most hunts and will send some pictures in to the gallery. has anyone else noticed that their dog manages to hunt harder and point deeper into the woods the closer you get to the truck? i call it the wild partridge chase, she does it every time to delay the inevitable, and yet it doesn't stop her from slowly creaking out of the truck when we get home with that poor me look on her face. at least she is predictable,my wife doesn't think i am??????????
