We are now planning breedings for 2012. If you were previously approved but did not get a pup last year, please RE-CONFIRM your request for this year. Also, any club member who has not notified us that they want a pup, this a great time to do so. Your help is very much appreciated. Please send an email to jimseibel@hotmail.com to either re-confirm or put your name in for a pup. ONLY WPGCA MEMBERS ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY.

WPGCA annual membership fee is $40.00. Membership is required to receive the bimontly Gun Dog Supreme newsletter, to be approved for puppy placement and reduced fees for field test participation.
Dues should be paid by January each year.

Among versatile hunting dog organizations, the WPGCA is unique:
Breeding decisions are in the hands of the club's breeding committee rather than relying on individual dog owners to make decisions about which dogs are of breeding quality and which stud dogs should be bred with which females.
Each puppy resulting from a club-approved breeding is evaluated in a progeny testing program; the data from these tests is used to determine future breeding decisions.Test results are published in the Gun Dog Supreme for everyone to see.
Judge Training
We train judges to evaluate versatile gun dogs. Through its Education and Research Foundation, the WPGCA holds an annual seminar on judging related topics based on a current need. All prospective judges must meet strict standards to become eligible.
Regional chapters of the WPGCA hold exposure/training days where club members help each other prepare their pups to become true versatile gun dogs. In addition to these occasional events, the network of club members is always there to help owners to develop their dogs and to deal with training questions.
